Body art & Secret Love

It has been a long time since I posted a new story. I'm so sorry about that. But now I wanted to share the pictures I made when I visited the Tropen Museum. So here it goes.
Two weeks ago I visited the Tropen Museum to see the exhibitions: Body Art and Secret Love.

Body Art is an exhibition about body ornamentation in the broades sense of the word: from makeup and tattoos, to implants underneath the skin and surgical alterations. Across time and cultures. The question that is central in this exhibition is: Why do people adjust their bodies?

When I first walked into the exhibition I noticed it was a bit smaller then I had imagined. At first I was a bit dissapointed, but when I walked through it I didn't even mind.
Sometimes during this exhibition, I was a bit spooked and horrified. But there also were some things I really liked. So here are some photo's of the exhibition.

In some cultures they cut with a knife in your face, so you have scars in your face for the rest of your life.
They do this, so everyone can see to which tribe you belong.
In another culture they cover the faces of the girls with tattoos. They tattoo them at the age of nine.
Can you imagine what kind of pain they went through?
Besides that you also see alot of beautiful things.
Secret Love is an contemporary exhibition about the taboo in China around lesbians, homosexuals , bisexuals and transgenders. Despite the taboo, China is making some positive changes regarding sexual diversity.

My pictures can describe the exhibition better then my words. So here it goes. And, btw, I would love to hear your opinion about sexual diversity. Cause I think everybody should be able to love someone no matter what!!

The four pictures of intimate men where hidden in THIS one big picture:
This picture was also the end of the exhibition.

I hope you liked it. And of course let me know what your thoughts where on this post. Hope to hear from you guys :)

Travel update

Last week I went to Germany with my parents. And I couldn't post anything because I didn't have WIFI. So here is a full report :)

After a four hour drive we arrived at the cabin. And it was amazing, especially the view. LOOKK!

So, when we setteld down we dicussed the plans for the rest of the week.
I won't use a lot of words in the post, just a lot of pictures and sometimes a little description, so I hope you don't mind and I hope you like the pictures I made. Some of the pictures I used are made by my dad :)

Tuesday
We went to Koblenz and Kochem. We visited a castle and did some shopping. And I also saw an amazing oldtimer. We walked through a tower filled with wall drawings, of course I had to take a picture with the dragonfly.

Wednesday
We went to Trier and Luxemburg. In Trier they also have gorgeous buildings and of course Porta Nigra. Porta Nigra used to be the city wall of Trier. Luxembur is such a pretty city, we walked through a street with DOLCE & GABBANA, CHANEL, LOUIS VUITTON and a really lovely macaron shop called : Ladurée.

Thursday
Me and my dad went to Bad Münstereifel and Blankenheim.
Ahrquelle is the start of a rivir that splits in four other rivirs and it is located in Blankenheim. The houses in Bad Münstereifel are gorgeous. The building in the picture next to ahrquelle, is a porcelain doll museum. And in the store, pictured in the phote left below, I found out that I was excepted to AMFI!!!

Friday
We went to Monschau and when we left Monschau we went back home. So here are my last pictures.

I hope you guys liked it and I'm sorry that it took me a while to post something again.

Kisses

Yeserday, 1st of july, I did some things that my parent and I will remember for a long time. I cut my hair after I let it grow for about two years. Unfortunatelly it was to short to donate. But besides I cut my hair, I graduated! It was awesome, it just was so hot everyone was sweating. But it was fun to see everybody once more and now I closed this chapter and I can start a new one. I just wanted to share this day with you:) But right now I just want to jump in the pool and get tanned.
So enjoy your vacation and here are some pictures of yesterday :)

She was my mentor for the year. Really lovely lady! If you are wondering what I wore to my graduation. I wore a red dress just above the knee,
with my bohemian sandals (they have a little cow head and somefeathers on them)

AMFI transit 2015

Friday, 26th of june, the graduates from AMFI had an exposition with all their projects. And it was epic. It is just art, it's AMAZING! It was a great experience and if you have the opportunity I think you should definitely go and admire all the amazing/beautiful pieces they created.
Here are some pictures so you can see what I experienced friday night.
The exposition was in another room. The things the students had created
was just amazing. It wasn't regular fashion anymore, it was ART!
After we walked through the exposition we went to the catwalk show. Here are some pictures of the clothes/outfits they made and showed us. Next year I think I am going again and if you are interested in fashion or art I think you should go to AMFI transit 2016 next year.

The amazing outfits,I just thought it was art,
was made by Abbie Stirrup. She is an amazing designer.
It's really unfortunate that I didn't met her

Don't you just love a good party?!

Last weekend I went with my four good friends to BEST KEPT SECRET! And it was amazing.
We only went on saturday, but I got to go the BALTHAZAR so everything was oké.
We also went to: Of monsters and men and The Vaccines. And I absolutely loved it. Going to festivals has becom one of my new addictions.

Not only the music but also the people and the festival ground is great. But whats most important is the FOOOOOODDDD, that was just awsome. I had a tortilla with grilled steak. It was jummie.

And of course I bought some goodies at the festival:
  • An Elpee from the band BALTHAZAR.
  • A pair of TOMS shoes. I bought them for €45 and an artist drew some pictures on them. Also, when you buy a pair they give a new pair of shoes to a child in need. So that is one great deal, don't you think?
  • And of course I couldn't leave the festival without a tattoo of a colourful indian. I bought it for €3,-
I loved it all. I had an great experience at BKS. Here are, of course, the pictures of the goodies I bought, but also some pictures of the festival itself.

O my god, this was just amazing

My goodies. I don't have a picture of my new shoes
because they ar all filthy, cause I already wore them!
